Why aren't my Smart Issue Picker fields working on the workflow transition screen?

If Smart Issue Picker fields are not working on the workflow transition screen, it might be because you are using the old transition screen experience. You can resolve this issue by enabling the new experience:

Go to Settings > General Settings.
Toggle on the New Work Transition Experience under the Jira Labs section
