  • How can I arrange the order of columns in the panel?

    The column order can be changed by drag and drop in the panel configuration page. For this you must be a Jira administrator or a project administrator with panel editing permission. Follow the steps in Editing an Issue Panel Click and hold the column you wish to move and drag it to the target location

  • How can I arrange the order of the Issue Panels/ Wiki Panels?

    You want to arrange the order of Issue Panels/ Wiki Panels displayed in the issue view page. Following those step Login as Jira Administrator Choose :cog_icon: > Manage apps. Select SMART PANELS > Projects Configurations. Locate the desired project and select Operations > Edit. Select the tab Issue Panels/ Wiki Panels Click and hold the panel on which one you want to move. Move to the target location Login as Project Administrator Go to the specific project you wish to configure. In your project select Project settings to open the project administration page. Click item Panel Configuration in the menu of available project settings. Select the tab Issue Panels/ Wiki Panels Click and hold the panel that you want to move and drag it to the new location. Can not arrange the order of System Panels. The default order of panel type is Issue Panels above Wiki Panels. Only can arrange the Panels in a specific type and a specific project.

  • How to build the search term for Wiki Panel?

    You can build the search term by selecting Jira fields or entering free text or combine both. Jira fields are used as placeholders to perform dynamic search depending on values from the current issue. All terms will be combined with OR operator. That means we search for content that contains one of the terms. In the field Text you can build your search term following Confluence Search Syntax.

  • Missing filter in "Helper"?

    After selecting a project in the details section of the Customize Panel Configuration Page the "Helper" will provide a list of predefined/saved filters. Selecting a filter will paste the JQL from the predefined filter to the "Filter" field. The list of filters displayed in the "Helper" includes: Filters shared with the selected project. Filters shared with the current user. Please check if the expected field is shared with you or selected project.

  • What happens if app license expires?

    Licenses have expiration dates. The app can be updated as long as the evaluation license is valid. The app stops working when the license period license ends. That means: The system panels (Sub-Tasks, Linked Issues, and Issues in Epic) are reset to JIRA built-in configuration No customized Issue Panels and Wiki Panels will be displayed in the issue details page The configuration UI at the Project Setting level will be removed The configuration UI at the Admin level will be removed Stored data in database tables are preserved

    By default, we display panels in the created date order.   • What is the usage of "Additional JQL Function" in the filter?

    Use this feature to perform an issue dependent search. The field "Additional JQL Function" will suggest a list of all custom fields from type numeric, text, single select,… and Jira system fields. Selecting an option from this field will build up the JQL function currentIssueField() with a specified field and paste it into the JQL box. The function performs a calculation on the specific field and returns a value from the issue in which the Issue Panel is displaying. The full document on Smart Issue Panels for Jira For example: "Epic Link" = currentIssueField("Epic Link_[epiclink]") → returns all issues that have an epic link with the current issue. assignee= currentIssueField("Reporter_[reporter]") → returns all issues that have been reported by the reporter of the current issue. Client = currentIssueField("Customer_[customfield_10032]")→ returns all issues that have the same value in the Client field as the current issue in the Customer field. Note that JQL searches do not return empty fields in the results.

  • What is the usage of feature "Reset to previous columns"/ "Restore default columns"?

    Reset to previous columns: The "Reset to previous columns" link is shown whenever you edit/copy panels. If you click to "Reset to previous columns" link, the column field will reset again to previous columns (which were saved in the last time). Restore default columns: Issue Panels & System Panels If you click to "Restore default columns" link, the column field will restore to the set of columns: Issue Type, Assignee, Status, Key, Summary. Wiki Panels If you click to "Restore default columns" link, the column field will restore to the set of columns: Title, Creator, Created, Last Modified.

  • Why I cannot edit the system panel in the Project settings?

    Behavior: As a Jira Administrators/ System Administrators when going to the Project Settings → Panel Configurations → selecting a Smart System Panels, cannot edit the panel. The page is in read only mode Answer: this happens since your Smart System Panel uses a template. You cannot edit the template configuration from a particular project, because it could affect several projects. Only viewing the configuration of the chosen template is possible. You can customize the Smart System Panel for the project by turning off the use of templates. If you need to edit the template configuration, please go to System Setting → Edit Smart Panel Template.

  • Why do I get a shifted header in the panel?

    If you have this problem - shifted header - it is because the Labels field is hidden in the Field Configuration of your project. Solution Remove the column from the panel Or Show the field in the Field Configuration If you are login as Standard Jira User: Just ask your Jira Administrator or Project Administrator to do this

  • Why is the App disabled after installation in the version 2.0.0?

    In the version 2.0.0, the first installation, the Smart Panels app will be disabled automatically, this is the standard behavior. To be able to enable it, you need to provide a valid license. In the version 2.0.0, the Smart Panels for Jira app cannot be enabled without a valid license.
