On this page you will learn how to start a sync from outside the Sync Bridge UI, for example from a Jira automation rule, a CI pipeline or another service, using the Sync Trigger API and API tokens.
Sync Bridge offers one HTTP endpoint, the Sync Trigger API. A call to it starts a push of one work item through one sync rule, the same as a manual push. Each call is authenticated with an API token that belongs to that sync rule and is sent in the X-Sync-Secret header. A Jira admin turns on the API trigger in the sync rule, finds the endpoint URL there, and creates the tokens.
