Attachments

You can upload documents and images and attached them to Projects, Versions, Test Suites, Test Cases, and Test Runs.

Files can be inserted specifically into certain text fields, with the rich text editor like in descriptions, preconditions, test steps or result details.

Files can also be uploaded in the “Attachments” section of the business object, to be reference in a rich text editor field when relevant.

Rich Text Editor

Click “Insert attachment” to reference a file already added to the “Attachments” section:

Click “Insert image” to directly select an image from your computer. The image added directly here will also be listed in the attachments section.

In the rich text editor, images are displayed in a reduced size and the other files are referenced with a link on the file name.

“Attachments” section

Attachments are listed in the table with a preview (for image) or a type icon, along with information about the file name, upload date, and the user responsible for the upload. The "Referenced" column gives an information whether the attachment is in use or not in a text field.

For each file, the following features are available in the “Attachments” section:

In view mode

Image preview: Open the image in a preview.
Download: Saves the file to your device.

In edit mode

Image preview: Open the image in a preview.
Download: Saves the file to your device.
Delete: Delete the file from the Test Case of the selected Version.
Upload: Open a window to select and upload one or more files from the local computer.

Alternatively, files can also be dragged and dropped directly into the designated attachment area.

There are several limits for attachments:

Max. file size: 5 MB
Max. size of all file(s): 100 MB
Max. amount of files: 100
